The Revenue Administration published an announcement on 06.03.2018 with the title “Announcement Regarding the Obligation on Coordinated Use of Sales Application Software, Orders and External Systems Used for Retail Sales of Products and Services in Connection with Cash Registers.” The original announcement can be accessed in the “Announcements on New Generation Cash Register Application” section of the official website of the Revenue Administration, https://ynokc.gib.gov.tr/ . The text is as follows:
ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE OBLIGATION ON COORDINATED USE OF SALES APPLICATION SOFTWARE, ORDERS AND EXTERNAL SYSTEMS USED FOR RETAIL SALES OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH CASH REGISTERS
As is already known; according to Article 8 with the title “Principles for coordinated use of external hardware and software with cash registers” of Communiqué on Tax Procedure Law Nr. 483, published in the Official Gazette Nr. 30196 on 30.09.2017; it is obligatory that sales application software and the hardware such as computers etc. (including mobile hand terminals used for taking orders as well as devices producing receipts or documents with no fiscal validity that show the order information) for retail sales of products and services are used in connection with Old Generation and New Generation Cash Registers starting from 01 April 2018 (this has to be done in a manner that all sales and order transactions done by sales application software or external software are transformed into a fiscally valid receipt on the Cash Register).
In order to comply with this obligation, the taxpayers using external sales software or hardware for retail sales of products and services must apply to authorized service shops of their software and Cash Register companies in order to have these software and hardware systems function in connection with the Cash Registers; and the necessary integration processes must be carried out by the authorized service shops of Cash Registers before 01 April 2018.”
